In June 2011, the charity: water team stopped by a project funded in honor of Christina and Matthew Jackson. This well serves about 450 people here with clean, safe drinking water.

charity:water. 100 Wells for the Holidays. 100 new wells in Ethiopia.

We’ve started a new tumblr:water campaign here, to contribute toward the Wells for the Holidays campaign. Let’s see how much our tumblr team can drum up! Our goal is just $1,000, which is about $2 per follower. Reaching our goal will contribute to the provision of safe drinking water for 10 families.

Stand up with millions of others this year in the name of clean water for all. How? Donate your status on Facebook or Twitter.
Next Tuesday, March 22, is World Water Day, but the celebration is all week: March 21-25. When you donate your status at waterday.org, we will automatically post to your account starting tomorrow, Friday, March 18, that invites your friends and followers to join you. Then, each day next week from Monday to Friday you will share a fact or story about the water crisis. When you sign up, you will be able to view these ahead of time.
Let’s make this water crisis history!

This is James

James lives in a small village in southern Kenya. He walks 6 hours a day to the river to get water for his family and livestock everyday. I asked him what he would do with his time if he didn’t have to walk 6 hours. He said he could do chores and do so many other things and he smiled.
Can you imagine if your LIFE was walking to get water just so you could survive ?

If every follower only donated one dollar today..

..we’d be over 10% of our goal..

If every follower donated just $1 every day for the next two weeks, we’d be at our goal!

725 followers can make a difference..

you don’t have to donate a lot.

a little bit goes a long way when we come together.

one dollar and reblog..

Can you do it?
