In southern Kenya most school aged girls are relegated to the endless task of fetching water for their households. This often precludes attending school. Multiple daily trips to sometimes questionable water sources can often stretch to 10 miles or more. charity: water has developed 36 projects in Kenya, including wells for 25 clinics and 11 schools.
