Engreda Village, India.
“In the stream, we would remove a little bit of sand, and the water would ooze out into it. We used to drink that, and the children and adults used to get diarrhea,” 41 year old Junesh said. “We are poor. Whatever savings we had, we spent on curing our waterborne diseases. The poor remained poor.”
The Engreda Village project is one of 344 projects that donations to charity: water have funded in India, including 297 villages and 47 schools.
100% of donations to charity: water goes to fund on-the-ground projects.
